1. South Korean President Moon Jae-in On 4-Day Visit To India 
i. South Korean President Moon Jae-in arrived in New Delhi evening on a four-day visit to India. He is being accompanied by First Lady Kim Jung-sook on his maiden visit to the nation.
ii. A financing arrangement of 10 billion dollars has been set by the Korean side for infrastructure development in India. Major items of India’s exports to Korea are mineral fuels/oil distillates, cereals, iron and steel.
  • South Korea Capital- Seoul, Currency- South Korean won.
2. PM Modi Inaugurated World’s Largest Mobile Factory In Noida 
i. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited Noida and inaugurated the New Mobile Manufacturing Plant of Samsung at Noida. Notably, it will be  one of the world’s largest mobile factory. 
ii. With the beginning of this New Plant, India’s Make In India and Skill India Will get a major Push in the country. Samsung has Invested close to 5,000 Crore Rupees in this plant and aims to Manufacture 12 Crore Mobile Handsets annually which will result in massive job creation.
3. Government Sets Noise Standards For Airports Across India 
i. The Union Environment Ministry has issued a notification setting noise standards for all airports across the country. The limits, however, exclude defence aircrafts, and those that are landing and taking off.
ii. The rules state that busy airports a civil airport with more than 50,000 aircraft movements per year (take-off or a landing) should not exceed noise levels beyond 75 dB(A) Leq (decibels) during the daytime (6am to 10pm) and 65 dBA during the night (10pm to 6am).
iii. All other airports an airport having more than 15,000 but less than 50,000 movements annually should not exceed levels beyond 65 dBA during the day and 60 dBA during the night. Proposed airports however, are excluded so far.

4. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Launched ISCF And ISCI Program 
i. Mr Hardeep S Puri, Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched India Smart Cities Fellowship (ISCF) and Internship (ISCI) program that will provide the youth with an opportunity to experience the aspects of Urban planning and governance.
ii. ‘Smart Cities Digital Payments Awards 2018’ was also launched which is intended to promote ‘Digital India’ and ease of living for India’s urban residents by promoting digital payments and encouraging Smart Cities to adopt innovative digital payments initiatives.
 
5. Indian warship INS Trikand reaches Sri Lanka in Goodwill Visit
i. India’s latest frontline warship INS Trikand has reached Sri Lanka in a goodwill visit. Sri Lanka Navy ceremonially welcomed the state-of-the-art warship in accordance with naval traditions.
ii. INS Trikand is a state-of-the-art warship of the Indian Navy equipped with a versatile range of weapons and sensors capable of addressing threats in all three dimensions – air, surface and sub-surface.
